Fire Safety

With the introduction of the new state building regulations on the 1st June 2000, a consequent elaboration of „protection oriented fire safety concepts“ for all buildings and rooms of a special type and with a specific use was asserted for the first time; this resulted above all from the knowledge gained after the tragic airport fire in Düsseldorf.

• According to § 54 of the building bill, for special constructions a fire safety concept is to be submitted with the building plans (§ 69, Abs. 1).

• Such a fire safety concept is to be drawn up by state registered experts responsible for fire safety.

• The scrutinization of the fire safety concept is no longer carried out by the state registered experts responsible for fire safety, as was the case in the past, but by the respective authority for building control.

• For residential properties of a medium height the hitherto existing regulations apply: the scrutinization of fire safety measures is to be carried out by state registered experts responsible for fire safety.

According to the regulations dealing with the work place, the employer must draw up plans for escape and rescue routes, whenever the position, extent and type of use of the work place demand this. Our plans are always set up to specifically fit the situation.

Fire service plans serve the quick orientation of firemen, in particular they offer specific knowledge needed for operation in large or very hazardous buildings. They show the danger hotspots and the position of the fire safety equipment.

We have employees with additional qualification of being registered experts for smoke and heat extraction installations. If necessary, they carry out installation examinations or advise you in detail.

Should a fire safety agent be required in your firm, then we can reliably take on this task.

If necessary, we can carry out the examination of the structural fire safety measures, where applicable after consulting the authority concerned. The necessity for the examination is regulated in the building bill of North-Rhine-Westfalia.
