Description
In order to re-route the road B 229 over the A 46 motorway it was necessary to build the arch bridge „Grimmestraße“. The bridge consists of a massive concrete deck, which is supported by two rows of prismatic columns. The central columns are positioned on a massive concrete arch, whereas the columns at either end as well as the abutments are based directly on the bedrock.
